Elon is busy. He just recently bought himself a secret vice presidency. Don't trust him and please just write about Mars, don't try to go there.

This is one of my favorite books, I laugh out loud every time I reread it. I reread all the books at least once a year, so it holds up. Commander Hay and Max are brilliant together, and of course Farenden too. As always, thank you for your efforts. You write my favorite books

It is my understanding that we are not to attempt landings on Europa.

As someone heavily involved in off-world missons, I loved this story!

A pod would solve so many of our problems, though solving problems are half the fun....

Off-world missions? Are you sending rovers out into the universe? I keep hoping we'll set up a moon station as practice for living on Mars. We could make our mistakes while still more or less within reach of rescue party. Without giving away any secrets - is something like that planned for the future? I'm beginning to feel I'm running out of time.

I'm making robots to clean up the space mess that others have left behind... like intergalactic bin collectors!

I think they'll rush to Mars, just to say they've been (whoever the mystical "they" are) and then yes I think they'll do lots more Moon missions before they get serious about living on Mars. I'll be keeping my feet firmly on the ground!

This sounds so interesting. It was the one thing that worried me about Matt Damon in The Martian - apart from him blowing up his potatoes - he made a hell of a mess when he left the base behind to trek off to the MAV. And again when he tore it all apart to get airborne. That beautiful pristine landscape was covered in bits of discarded spaceship. And the Martian winds would blow it everywhere.

I happen to like Captain Farenden, too, so please, please be nice to him!

I would go to Mars in a heartbeat! But I'm 59, so I agree with you Jodi... Elon – stop messing about with X and politics and all the other unimportant stuff and get your arse to Mars.

I would love to go to Mars, but the involvement of Elon Muskrat is a bit off-putting. We, too, have no children.

May I vape there?

😉😍

Yes, I like Charlie too! I actually consider applying for the Mars mission. My husband and I have no children so we wouldn't have been leaving anyone behind. But I couldn't persuade him. And now we're too old. Better just drink a few more margaritas and eat some chocolate.
