I quite agree about Tuesdays. Mondays are meh. Wednesdays are humpy. Then it's downhill to the weekend!! Although now I'm retired, all days are equal, although some days are more equal than others.
I really enjoyed your story - my kind of humour for sure. 100% agree with Raine about Tuesdays and I’m not that keen on Wednesdays either (although I should stress I have absolutely nothing against camels in either meme or actual form). Well done.
Lovely story! You have a point about Tuesday. Monday, I get up all "let's get things done," and then Tuesday, I just want to sleep the day away because the weekend is too far off. It is depressing.
I really enjoyed your story. As a 64 year old compulsive reader, I've read a fair amount, & your story caught my attention immediately, & left me sad that it was over so quickly!
I look forward to seeing more of your work, one day.
That’s so kind, I wrote it very quickly on the spur of the moment. In my head I’m writing a follow up, but whether or not it makes it onto the page is anyone’s guess.
I have long contended that Tuesday is the worst day of the week! The numbness of Monday has worn off, and the weekend is still nowhere in sight. Good to know someone agrees with me, even if she's fictional. Many of my favorite people are, after all.
What lovely comments from the folk who read my story, I'm very touched, I didn't honestly think it was that good. I resisted temptation to edit it as I usually end up being totally dissatisfied with the result. I have the start of a new story in my head - it may never reach the page, but it is something to refine as I'm trying to get to sleep. Thanks again to all who commented.

Thanks for your lovely comment, I'm retired too so, as you say, Tuesdays don't have the same impact!

Thanks so much, I wrote it in a hurry. Looking back, there’s loads of things I would change but I left it at the first draft.
What a fun short story. I'm 74 and love history and sci-fi, too. Keep writing.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it, I'm working on a follow up (in my head).

Now I’m retired it’s not such a problem, in fact remembering what day of the week is my problem. Glad you enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this story.
I’m so pleased, thank you.
Thank you, funny and exhausting racing around the timeline in a shed while eating cheese sandwich for lunch!
Thanks, nothing like a good cheese sarnie, eh?
I always rather liked Tuesdays, but now I see there are good reasons to despise them
Very funny! Well done!
Thanks so much, it’s not such a problem since I retired.

Tuesday used to be the first day of my 4 day week, but it was still a bit off a drag. Glad you liked the story though. Thanks.
