Jodi, you have already taken us to the end of time and I don't remember any acrylic paint, you may have to write that again...if you take time off from painting. Meanwhile enjoy your Downtime Abbey (wherever it is). As an accountant but in Canada, you could claim the costs as research for a book. Not sure if your brother would qualify. I agree with Vicki about the Seascape and I love the cloud colours. A big sophisticated home for Thomas sound nice but will he stay in it?

The Seascape really is lovely! You know most people say oh I paint and you look at them and you say, " oh how nice, I love your use of yellow" which fits the old if you can't say something nice.. rule. But yours really is lovely. And the ashes conversation please tell me you're not dying just preparing! I hate losing my favorite authors.

Oh and congratulations on 2 million Bravo and what a sweet thing to send flowers my work does that every work anniversary there aren't many of us so it's not too expensive but it's a really nice touch

Congratulations on your successful book tour. Glad to see you are taking time off to recharge yourself. Your seascape looks beautiful. Maybe auction off some of your artwork for charity?

I've preordained the Christmas short story, but you refer to FOUR short stories. Do they have titles yet? Can they be preodered? Thanks!

Not yet - I've only just finished them. They're to be part of the anthology of short stories - Short on Time - for which I don't yet have a publishing date. But they will be, so don't worry.

My great grandfather retired from being the manager of York Railway Station to Northallerton in the 1920s. He lived in a house which is now a B&B called Windsor House.

My weekly moanette: are you going to get buttons to press for Amazon Canada and Amazon Australia? Also could you make it clear ( to avoid our sadness when we realise the truth) 99c does not mean 99c Canadian nor 99c Australian. I'm looking forward to the S and P release in August. I got confused and thought it was going to be April, but it's not long now!

Happily dramatic painting! Well done!

2 million copies sold! Hurrah! Double Well Done you!

Ashes. Huh. I have a friend who went all SAS and clandestinely stole a pinch of her mother's ashes to make a memorial ring, against the family decision. She likes to see her late mother twinkle on her finger, as her mother loved her naughty daughter!

Horseboxes - I have friend who does have one of the very big expensive ones (£300,000!!!) with a luxury bedroom, bathroom and the unending smell of horsepiss. They specialise in displays of dressage and costumed side-saddle riding, aiming her daughter for the next Olympics. If you can send me your relevant email, I'll pass it on to her on your behalf.

Best wishes, Julia

Thanks very much for this. My email is authorjoditaylor@gmail.com. I really appreciate your help. Is your friend likely to be distressed by my surprisingly intricate plan to murder someone with a horsebox?

Julia Hawkes-Moore's avatar

She may even have developed plans for such an action herself.

I'll message her now.

It seems that the horses haven't learned to use the bathroom but presumably they can get into bed!
