I am coming to understand that authors fall into two camps:
Those who can do many things fairly well (including the much smaller subset of those that do everything well, the bastards) and
Those who can only write fairly well (including the subset of those who can write really great stuff but can do nothing else without serious risk to local geography)
I finish my remarks with a heartfelt acknowledgement of, and thanks to, those who voluntarily take on caring for that small subset of the second group of authors... You know... The one Jodi inhabits.
