Working on it. The cat insisting on being held isn't helping.
Here we go! "It has been collected in The Hugo Winners (1962), The Best Of Eric Frank Russell (1978), and Major Ingredients: The Selected Short Stories of Eric Frank Russell (2000)" That's Wikipedia. The link won't propagate here, but if you go to the ever-faithful Internet Science Fiction Database (ISFDB,it lists every place it's ever been reprinted. (I make it about 85 printings.) All I did was google "Frank Eric Russell Allamagoosa"
Oh. I was forgetting you said "kindle." Go to Amazon, select books and type "Allamagoosa" in your search bar. They offered it to me for 99 cents. I love my kindle.
Nicely done! Did I catch very faint echoes of Frank Eric Russel's classic "Allamagoosa?" (For the uninitiated: a ship in a space navy needs to produce their offog to pass an upcoming inspection. They had one for the last inspection--but no one knows what it is, which complicates the search. Read it if you haven't.)
Bound to be a story behind falsely claiming to have invented a flux capacitor.
Superb. Has Astrid met Celia North? Can she?
But what are they diverting attention from? Fire trucking plausible deniability, I really want to know....pleeease!
Waiting with avid attention for the next great instalment.
Astrid is a glorious new asset! :)
Love it ❤️
Fabulous as always to reunite with our old friends
Can't see what the fuss is all about guv'nor, I just snaffle mine off the Ebay, and Bob's yer uncle, 'm I right?

Trying to find somewhere to read it (on Kindle), but having no success. Any suggestions please?
