Oh yes yes! But who could play Max? A favourite passtime is to 'cast' people but I was stumped with Max. This lady may be a little on the older side for Max now but as soon as I saw her in Star Trek Discovery I thought ' there's Max!' Her name is Mary Wiseman.
Bloody bollocking hell, this is a dream and a nightmare at the same time. How much room is there on that ledge? I love St Mary's sooo much and would love to see a TV series, but worry massively that it would be terribly done. However, knowing Jodi, if she's happy then I am. Adorable do look great so fingers crossed. As for the cast, I always enjoy seeing a relatively unknown in a lead role, so that they don't come with any history and preconceptions. I am enjoying seeing other peoples proposals though. (maybe just squeeze Bill Nighy in there somewhere though, Doctor Dowson perhaps. Love him.)
Yes!!! At last St Mary’s! I would love to see it as a tv series.. and I completely agree about A Bachelor Establishment, it’s up there with Pride and Prejudice for me, if not better. Well done Jodi! Stay away from the ledge! Xxx

I've always seen comedienne/actress Angela Barnes as a natural Max
I, too, was stumped until I saw you say Mary Wiseman, right out of Discovery... she would be so perfect!
Also she may be a bit too old now, but a few years ago, Florence Pugh as Max!
isn't she just now 28?
Yes, but wasn't Max was about 20 in the first book? MAYBE she could pull it off, but they would need to start filming NOW! :-)
Would it be available in the US as well? I sure hope so, unless of course TrumpMusk shuts down all the tv streaming as well

I'd seen Bill Nighy as Dr Bairstow, myself
I love to do "casting" when reading, helps me to see the character. I'd go for Alexander Dreymon (Uhtred from The Last Kingdom) for Leon
