Jodiworld Convention 2025: Get Ready, Coventry!

The countdown is on. From 23–26 May 2025, Jodiworld Convention descends on Coventry, and it’s shaping up to be our most brilliantly bonkers weekend yet.

If you haven’t booked your membership—now’s the time. There are still places available, but not many!

Here’s what’s coming:

🛏 Bedtime Stories with Zara Ramm & Jodi Taylor
We’re so lucky we’ve managed to get Zara Ramm to come to Jodiworld this year and you get to decide what she reads. We’ll be running a poll soon to choose which excerpt, so have your say and get ready to be read to like the oversized children we all are.

🎤 Jodi Meets Caimh
The big Sunday Q&A session with Jodi Taylor and Caimh McDonnell is happening—and yes, we’ll be taking your questions. Got something nosy, clever, or just plain weird you’ve always wanted to ask? Watch this space.

☕ Spill the Tea Sessions
Want something a little more intimate? This year we’re introducing Spill the Tea: a chance for 16 lucky attendees to enjoy tea (or coffee, or water, we’re not monsters) and biscuits in a small group setting with our guests.
We’ve got one session with Zara, three with Caimh, and four with Jodi Taylor herself. You’ll be able to sign up at registration or via the app—launching soon!

🐥 Pod Quests Return
The chaos is back. Pod Quests are go—and this year’s challenges are as ridiculous as ever. Our four teams—Team Weird, Team St Mary’s, Team Frogmorton, and Team Cage—will be competing for glory, collecting tiny chickens (PodChicks) instead of points (as a nod to the legendary Patagonian Attack Chickens).
Expect short film-making, team challenges, and, out in the Courtyard, the soon to be infamous Trebuchet Trials—where you'll build your own trebuchet and launch teabags at designated peasants (safely padded and thoroughly up for it, we promise). Think paintballing, but with medieval engineering and slightly soggy ammunition.
Of course, Pod Team T-shirts are now available in the merch section, and you can grab a Collect-at-Con T-shirt too—no postage, great value.

🎭 Jodiworld’s Got Talent
On Saturday night, it’s your time to shine. Or cackle. Or trip over a ukulele. Jodiworld’s Got Talent hits the stage with performances from our own brilliantly unhinged community. Expect surprises, laughter, and possibly some interpretive dance.

In between all the madness, we’ve got some truly fascinating discussions lined up, including:

🍽 The Dodo D'Or Gala Dinner
On Sunday evening, we gather for our grand three-course Dodo D’Or gala dinner. After the food comes the screening of the Pod Team short films—and the glittering chaos of the Golden Dodo Awards. Sales are going well, but there’s still space at the table if you haven’t booked yet.

💛 Charity Auction for Bookmark
Once again, we’ll be raising funds for charity and this year our chosen charity is Bookmark, the amazing reading charity for children. If you’ve got something lovely you’re willing to part with for the auction, we’d love to hear from you.

Coventry, prepare yourself. The fans are coming—and we're bringing trebuchets!
