Sorry to hear about the soup. It's a good day for soup here - 50 degrees F and thunderstorms. But in the US we don't ask "what possibly could go wrong." Because too much has gone sideways with threats of more to come. Could I borrow a pod to visit the village pub neR St. Mary's?

Dear Fellow American,

All 3.3 million of us are feeling wibbly-wobbly right about now.

It comforts me to completely disregard what The Powers that Be are trying to do, as well as blanking out what is being reported by Them. We need a Walt Kelly of our times.

Yes, "The Alchemist" is a hero's journey of self discovery. A small book with big dreams.

My husband and I love "The Residence". Quirky cool. Did you notice the name of each new episode is the name of a movie?

Yes, I did. I particularly liked Knives Out.

I wonder if our detective MS Cupp is using the concept of birdwatching to get us to see past the noise of the House vs The Newcomers. Maybe the us vs them are just redherrings. Did you notice the person going into the greenhouse had a long gown on? What if the person is the crazy man on the third floor who keeps floating in and out of the story? And, he is wearing a long nightgown. His room is next door to the storage room where Ms Cupp found blood on the baseboard. I have more ideas but I am going to wait and see.

I read The Alchemist quite a while ago after hearing about it for years. I have a miles long TBR list and finally got to it, enjoyed it very much so added the rest of his books to my list.
