19. Entry from Jo Jones
A Valentine’s poetry competition for lovers of history
Charles Edward Stuart, born to be king
Like others before, your praises I’ll sing
From exile in Rome, sailed to Scotia’s fair land
A Jacobite army was yours to command
Triumphs in Preston and at Falkirk Muir
Despair in the end on Culloden Moor
Over the sea with Flora to Skye
A daring escape that made my heart sigh
A romantic hero in history we’re taught
Bonnie Prince Charlie will ne’er be forgot
Jo Jones

I enjoyed the rhyming and hearing the story in verse. Nicely done!
Well wrote
