Conclave by Robert Harris ππ
Jodi Taylor #BookRecommendation
This is a book I have read many times - itβs a comfort book for me. One to get immersed in if I need to escape.
The Pope has passed away. Behind the locked doors of the Sistine Chapel, one hundred eighteen cardinals from around the world will cast their votes in the most secretive election in the world. ππ
Have you enjoyed this book too?
Read the book years ago and had enjoyed it, but had forgotten a lot of the detail. I saw the film yesterday and I enjoyed it a great deal. The beginning of the film I kept expecting a Dave Allen sketch, all those men in red frocks and white pinafores, but waiting to see what sins had been committed by these holy men as they climbed the slippery pole to the top kept my interest, especially when one was brought down from an unexpected quarter. 10/10
