The final book in the Reading Challenge is Christmas Pie. Please comment below when you've finished it.
St Mary's has never lacked for enemies, but danger has never been closer to home. A state of war has broken out between St Mary's and the Women's Institute - the Raffia Mafia. Markham, Max, Peterson and Miss Sykes must jump to Restoration London in search of real Christmas pie - the honour of St Mary's is at stake. At least that how it all begins, but this is St Mary's after all...
The stories in the challenge are:
Unable to complete at present - not even at the end of page 1 and I've run out of mince pies. Just off to the shop ......
I’ve really enjoyed this challenge and am now going to reread the other short stories, but after Hag’s Nook. Thank you and Merry Christmas. BTW we have had a mince pie off in our house and have been testing mince pies for appearance, structure, mouth feel and flavour. We have endeavoured to be fair and leave out those with alcohol in (?!). The winner for us is a fine mince pie from a major supermarket beginning with T. 🥧
