This is disappointing as a short story…. Only because it’s an *excellent* first chapter, and I want to know what happens next! I do hope you go on and turn this into a whole book. Or books.
Really appreciate the advice 🙂 Seems I misunderstood the competition prompt somewhat, and more or less wrote a short story with just my own spin on David Sands and *whispers* time-travel. The novel I'm working on is entirely different and an original concept, albeit with a regrettable lack of knock-knock jokes.
