I don't know how Jodi manages to make everything sound so reasonable! Poor commander Hey. Love the character development.

Thank you - I’m so glad you enjoyed it.

I didn't really enjoy this one as much as the others, maybe it's because all usual characters are on the periphery

I could not imagine what could be 'something completely different' but wow - MARS! I love these characters!

Iive the notion that there is life on Mars, it's intelligent, altruistic, thoughtful and effective.... If only we could say the same about our governments (witty snappy dialog was also very appreciated, if expected)

Brilliant dialogue between Commander Hay and Director Pinkerton ! Nice for Charlie to have a day out.

I love this one - commander Hays reactions so funny, Captain Farendon having a treat by getting to go to Mars, the liquid anti radiation solutions and you have an Australian in Pinky’s St Mary’s team !!! (Australian here)

Loved the references to other authors e.g. Zelazny.

I was so glad to revisit this story! After the first three, I kept wondering where various stories were, and then finally remembered that not all the short stories were actually Christmas ones! I was not sure that Mars would make the cut. (As a bonus, my husband, who can only read on audiobook, had managed to miss this one, so I bought it for him, so that is a book sale for Jodi Taylor and a new St. Mary's story for my husband!)

Another fabulous story. But I DO feel sorry for Commander Hay
